Here are a few major rules judges will be using to determine a good lift vs. a bad lift along with some timing guidelines, etc...
1. Once your name is called to lift you have ONE MINUTE to get the lift off the platform...
2. You must stay on the platform during the entire lift to get credit for it...
3. HERE IS A BIG ONE... Any PRESSING out of the arms on a Snatch or on the Jerk portion of the Clean & Jerk is a NO REP...
4. ANOTHER ONE... Lift must start from the floor on both the Snatch & Clean & Jerk with no Hang versions of the lift being allowed...
5. Only your FEET can touch the platform... If your butt or knee hits the platform the lift is no good...
6. If you follow yourself during the meet you will get TWO MINUTES until you need to get the lift off the platform...
7. ONE MORE... You need to get TWO out of THREE white lights from the judges for the lift to count...
We will post more info about timing your warm up lifts and counting lifts during the meet so you know when to start your warm ups & how to progress them... It's not easy so make sure you read up otherwise you'll waste too much energy warming up or not warm up enough and potentially miss a potential PR during the meet...
