We are ramping up Games and some class training these last several weeks leading up to the Open so make sure you do your due diligence to keep yourself recovered and healthy so you do the best you can come Open time...
Here are the main points...
1. Sleep, sleep, sleep... 6 to preferably 8 CONSECUTIVE hours of sleep every night...
2. Post-WOD try to keep yourself moving no matter how tired you are... Jump on the rower, walk or jog lightly back and forth, etc
3. After cooling down take a good 10-15 minutes to mobilize and stretch... Floss, roll and stretch AND HOLD for 1-2 minutes per spot
4. Food, food, food... Make sure you are having QUALITY foods in large enough portions to support recovery and rebuild between WODs...
We would actually like our Games group to start the Zone/Paleo nutrition plans we put our nutrition challenge group through since it worked so well with amounts adjusted to support our higher training volume these last eight weeks before the Open...
We would like to run though this plan with all the Games athletes and give you guys block prescriptions and run through food lists this COMING SUNDAY @ 1PM before we hit additional Games training...
