I want all of you guys to take this phrase to heart... Compete against other in your class, compete against others in Omaha, compete against other worldwide in the Open, BUT most of all compete against the person you USED TO BE!
Let's me honest and straightforward... How many of us will make it to the Crossfit Games or even Regionals? Not many... It's a tough road that is unbelievably competitive and getting tough every year, BUT you can improve YOU every single day that you get into the gym!
Yes, this post is coming from someone who has been to a higher level in the sport of Crossfit, but I still try to come into training with the same approach that you all should come in with... Just work your butt off and be better than last week, last month, last year or whatever... It's great to have high expectations but ONE bad day or even a bad week doesn't define who you are or how good you'll be in the future...
Come in and enjoy your training... Celebrate the good days and don't sweat the bad ones... Everything turns around eventually, it just might take a little longer than you like sometimes
