FRIDAY WORKOUT (OLYMPIC MEET PRACTICE!)

The Hydro Weightlifting Meet is less than 2 months away!

Today we will do what amounts to a "sprint" version of an Olympic Weightlifting Meet...

POWER TEST:
You and your partner will have 15 minutes to work up to your "Opening Weight" on a Snatch...

This Snatch MUST be from the floor and a squat catch is preferred, but power catches are allowed on this one...

Once you have figured out your first attempt we will put a 6 minute running clock...

You will have 1 minute and only ONE ATTEMPT during that minute to perform your Opener...

The next minute your partner will perform their opener...

If you make the Opener you will move the weight up for your second attempt and again have only 1 minute to get 1 attempt off...

We will continue this pattern until both partners have done THREE total attempts...

You will then have 10 minutes to work up to a Clean and Jerk opening weight...

We will repeat this 6 minute clock again with your partner for the Clean and Jerk section...

Have fun with this one and test your limits!!

Wanted to do this one to the best of my ability currently so...

Super high hang power snatch w/ band around knees...
95,125,135,145,155,165,170... Losing knee control so moved on

Push jerked yesterday so just power clean w/ band...
145,175,195,215,225...

Axle hip raise - 5x10
- 230# for final 2 sets

:20 row for calories and :40 "recovery" row for 8 rounds...
- This was for max calories in the :20 AND max calories overall during the 8 mins
10-12 calories during the :20 and 137 calories overall...
